This project was commissioned by the Sustainable Energy Development Office (SEDO) of Western Australia to develop a Renewable Energy Handbook as a consolidated “one stop shop” for information resources on the development of commercial renewable energy projects within Western Australia.
The Handbook was designed with the purpose of guiding project developers through the process of progressing a potential project from concept to commission as well providing a general information resource for all those with an interest in renewable energy, renewable energy projects and related policies in Western Australia such as local and state government agencies), investors, landholders, local community members and other interested stakeholders.
The outcomes of this Project were an overview of the development approval process for renewable energy projects, including relevant environmental, electricity market and operational approvals; an assessment of the renewable energy market in Western Australia; and information on the operation of various commercial renewable energy technologies, including bioenergy technologies
